Pre-Treatment Prep

Post-Treatment Advice
We advise on re-entry times and critical post-treatment precautions, including not vacuuming for at least 2 weeks to preserve the treatment. All pets must be treated by a vet on the same day to prevent immediate reinfestation.

Why do I have fleas if I don't have pets?
Flea pupae can lie dormant in carpets and floorboards for up to 18 months, hatching when they detect vibration and warmth — often when a new occupant moves into a property that previously housed pets. This is extremely common in London rental properties.
Do I need to treat my pet at the same time?
Yes — this is essential. If your pet is not treated on the same day as the property, fleas will reinfest the environment immediately. Use a veterinary-approved spot-on or spray treatment on your pet on the day of our visit.
How long does treatment take to work?
You may still see some flea activity for up to 2 weeks after treatment as new pupae continue to hatch and are then killed by the residual insecticide. This is normal. Do not re-vacuum for at least 2 weeks to preserve the treatment.
Is the treatment safe for children and pets?
Yes, once the treated surfaces have dried — typically 1–2 hours. We advise you on re-entry times before leaving. Pet-safe formulations are available on request — please mention this when booking.
Can fleas transmit diseases?
Yes. Fleas can transmit tapeworm to both pets and humans, and in rare cases carry Murine Typhus and Bartonella (Cat Scratch Disease). They can also cause severe allergic dermatitis in both pets and people. Treat infestations promptly.
