Viral Disinfection London

Hospital-Grade EN14476 Certified Disinfection Service

Professional viral disinfection uses hospital-grade disinfectant applied by ULV (Ultra-Low Volume) fogging and electrostatic sprayers to eliminate 99.9999% of bacteria, viruses and fungi on all surfaces in a treated area. It is strongly recommended following any rodent infestation — rats and mice leave behind urine, droppings and nesting material carrying Leptospirosis, Salmonella and Hantavirus, which can remain active on surfaces for weeks. It is also used for post-COVID and outbreak disinfection, food businesses, healthcare settings, offices and any environment requiring certified pathogen elimination with a written certificate.

How We Treat It

Our step-by-step treatment process, used by every Zeus technician on every visit.

01

Pre-Treatment Preparation

We advise on preparation requirements before our arrival, including removing or covering food items and ensuring all areas are accessible. For post-rodent disinfection, we first ensure all droppings and contaminated nesting material are safely removed and bagged.

02

ULV Cold Fogging

Our ULV cold fogging machines disperse hospital-grade EN14476 certified disinfectant as a fine mist of particles (1–50 microns) that remains suspended in the air and settles on all surfaces — including inaccessible areas, ceiling joists, wall crevices and under furniture.

03

Electrostatic Surface Spray

For targeted surface disinfection, our electrostatic sprayers charge the disinfectant particles so they wrap around surfaces — including undersides and difficult angles — achieving up to 3x better coverage than conventional spraying.

04

Dwell Time & Certification

The disinfectant is allowed to dwell for the required contact time to achieve full EN14476 kill rates. On completion, a written certificate of disinfection is issued, detailing the products used, areas treated, application methods and kill claims — suitable for insurance, Environmental Health and regulatory purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is viral disinfection necessary after a pest infestation?

We strongly recommend disinfection after any rodent infestation. Rat and mouse urine, droppings and nesting material carry Leptospirosis (Weil's disease), Salmonella, Hantavirus and E.coli — all of which can remain active on surfaces for weeks after the rodents are gone. Standard cleaning does not eliminate these pathogens.

What does EN14476 certification mean?

EN14476 is the European standard for virucidal activity. A disinfectant certified to EN14476 has been independently tested and proven to eliminate enveloped viruses (including coronaviruses, influenza, HIV) and non-enveloped viruses (including norovirus, rotavirus) at the stated concentration and contact time. We use only EN14476-certified products.

How long does treatment take and when can we re-enter?

Treatment of a standard 3-bedroom property typically takes 1–2 hours. Re-entry is possible once the treated surfaces have dried and the required dwell time has elapsed — usually 1–2 hours after treatment is complete. We will give you a specific re-entry time based on the products used.

Is disinfection safe for food businesses?

Yes — we use food-safe, no-residue formulations for all food business environments. All products meet COSHH requirements and the certificate we issue is accepted by Environmental Health officers and food safety auditors.

Can you disinfect a property after a COVID-19 case?

Yes. Our EN14476-certified disinfection service is effective against SARS-CoV-2 and all variants. We treat all surfaces, air and hard-to-reach areas, and issue a certificate confirming the treatment. This is accepted by most commercial landlords and HR departments for return-to-work clearance.
